Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Substance abuse counselor will assist patients through medically assisted programs and offer techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts group and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.

Requirements

• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews
• Facilitates and reviews treatment plans
• Provides individual and group counseling services
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Develops and participates in patient teaching projects
• Responds to patient grievances and complaints
• Develops aftercare and discharge plans
