BB&E is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide technical design support for NAVFAC Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and review of new construction, repair, and renovation projects for Navy and Marine Corps facilities.
Requirements
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain NACI/CAC eligibility is required.
- Demonstrated experience preparing detailed analyses, drawings, and cost estimates for DoD or NAVFAC facilities or large-scale commercial facilities.
- Proficient with structural modeling software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RAM).
- Knowledge of DoD and Navy design standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), ASCE 7, IBC, and federal design standards and requirements.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes and regulations related to building and structural design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present design concepts and findings effectively.
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and multi-discipline coordination.
- Commitment to NAVFAC safety policies and proper PPE usage during site visits and inspections.
