Job Description
BBC Radio Solent is looking for a journalist - an audio content producer - to join its talented team of broadcast journalists at our studios in Southampton. The role involves creating and producing great radio content, including news, features, and documentaries.
Requirements
- Experience of a variety of audio production techniques across both linear and digital platforms
- Substantial experience of audio production and journalism with strong editorial judgement
- Good knowledge of the BBC's editorial guidelines, impartiality, and broadcast law
- Ability to draw on a wide range of sources for story ideas and deliver original stories that surprise and engage listeners
- Flair for writing great scripts and understanding local audiences and what matters to them
