Second Officer/ Relief Chief Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated, Second Officer, Relief Chief Officer to fill a regular position at Langdale. The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of navigating equipment and techniques, corporate policies, international, federal and provincial regulations, safety and emergency procedures, and ship handling principles.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Mate, Near Coastal Certificate or higher
• Valid Seafarer’s Medical certificate
• Considerable knowledge of applicable navigating equipment and techniques
• Considerable knowledge of Corporate policies and procedures applicable to the position
• Considerable knowledge of international, federal and provincial regulations applicable to the position
• Considerable knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
• Considerable knowledge of ship handling principles, stability, seamanship and deck maintenance
