Requirements
- Assembly design and process implementation across the Medical Segment
- Ensuring component design, equipment, cost, and supply align with business expectations
- Providing expert engineering guidance and mentorship
- Leading planning, coordination, vendor relationships, and execution of assembly and packaging equipment development
- Support for new product introduction
- Process development & equipment design
- Designing assembly and packaging equipment and creating/maintaining user requirements (URS)
- Providing cost inputs and managing equipment integration through SAT, installation, and startup
- Ensuring equipment meets safety, quality, and operational standards
- Leading external suppliers on major capital projects and partnering with procurement for vendor selection
- Driving process optimization, automation improvements, and capturing performance data from existing lines
- Design & engineering
- Developing mechanical concepts and creating or reviewing detailed 3D/2D CAD designs
- Optimizing equipment for cost, efficiency, changeover time, maintainability, and operator usability
- Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEA
- Building/testing prototypes with manufacturing teams and iterating from feedback
- Performing engineering analyses (stress, thermal, fluid, etc.) and ensuring integration with electrical/mechanical systems
- Operational support & compliance
- Supporting production crises (quality or supplier-related)
- Complying with safety, GMP, ISO, and BD quality standards
- Carrying out additional assigned tasks
