Senior Cost Engineer

Senior Cost Engineer position at Bechtel, responsible for estimating, analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. The role will involve preparing cost studies, reviewing cost trends, and developing and implementing project requirements for cost control. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Requirements

• Performs generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities
• Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
• Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
• Investigates the requirements for estimating and/or cost control data
• Collects and classifies cost data
• Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
• Identifies cost trends for management attention
• Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons
