Job Description
Bechtel is seeking a Structural Designer to support the design development of structural engineering designs for a nuclear power project. The successful candidate will have a BS degree in a related field and 1-2 years of related design experience, or an AA/AS degree with 3-4 years of experience. Responsibilities include originating and checking Civil/Structural deliverables, interpreting industry standards, and working with other technical disciplines in a team environment.
Requirements
- BS degree in a related field with 1-2 years of related design experience
- AA/AS degree with 3-4 years of related design experience
- Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
- Experience in the use of Bechtel standard applications of CAD software
- Experienced user of Tekla Structures
- Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with the provisions of AISC, ACI, UBC, and OSHA codes
- Knowledge of construction materials and construction details and techniques
