Job Description
BestCare is seeking Certified Peer Support Specialists or Certified Recovery Mentors to provide support to individuals with Substance Use Disorder in a low-barrier program at the BHRN-Behavioral Health Regional Network. The role involves offering services such as case management, employment, housing assistance, and peer support, promoting recovery skills, and facilitating client participation in services. This position requires teamwork with a treatment team, client counseling, case management, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Requirements
- Current Oregon peer support certification from a State-approved program
- CPR, First Aid and AED certification or commitment to obtain
- Valid Oregon Driver's License or ability to obtain
- Must have demonstrated competency for each of the following: understanding of person-centered services, trauma-informed care, and the Intentional Peer Support model
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), EHR platform, databases, virtual meeting platforms, internet, and ability to learn new software
