Specialist, Quality Assurance & Engineering

BetaNXT is seeking a Specialist, Quality Assurance & Engineering to join one of our Scrum teams and help shape how quality and automation scale across customers facing financial platforms.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience testing complex web-based applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, negative, integration, and system testing.
• Strong programming experience in at least one modern language used for test automation (e.g., C#, Java, or TypeScript)
• Experience building and maintaining UI automation using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium or Playwright).
• Experience testing APIs using industry standard tools (e.g., Postman, ReadyAPI, or Rest API)
• Experience using BDD style frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
• Perform integration testing involving IBM MQ/messaging queues where applicable.
• Familiarity with Bash/Shell scripts.
• Perform extensive Oracle DB validation using SQL scripting.
• Solid fundamentals in debugging, triage, and root cause analysis, including pipeline failures
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within Agile/Scrum environments
