Requirements
- Maintains adequate staffing levels and efficient, effective workflow and scheduling
- Provides training to phlebotomists to ensure competency
- Provides data input for the payroll system in the absence of Supervisor and Phlebotomy Leaders
- Acts as a technical resource for all difficult Phlebotomy blood draws for the institution
- Ensures rounds are completed as scheduled and provides assistance, as needed, to maintain timelines of routine and STAT blood draws
- Communicates lab issues and problems to Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Manager and recommends resolution
- On a daily basis, interacts and communicates with customers including patients, site office manager, physicians, and medical assistants
- Shares on-call duties
- Provides input for performance appraisals
- Ensures 24/7 coverage for Inpatient Rounds
