ACCOUNTANT

This hybrid position (part-time in Seattle and part-time remote) involves preparing monthly journal entries, balancing sheets, budget analysis, and bank financial oversight. The role also manages vendor invoices, employee credits, and property reporting. Candidates are expected to embody the values of Bethany Community Church.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, including payroll and benefits administration
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Experience with computerized accounting systems
• Experience with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Experience with cost accounting or overhead allocations
• Knowledge of employee benefits laws and statutory requirements
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
