Senior Camp Mentor - Lawrence Heights

The Senior Camp Mentor is a key leadership role within the Summer Camp team, responsible for leading a group of campers, mentoring Junior Camp Mentors and volunteers, and supporting the overall coordination and daily operations of the program.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a summer camp or similar childcare/recreation setting
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or senior staff role
• Strong ability to manage groups of children and handle behaviours confidently and professionally
• Experience communicating with parents/caregivers in a professional setting
• Post-secondary education in Child & Youth Care, Recreation, Education, or a related field (asset)
• Strong skills in one or more of the following areas: sports, arts, recreation, education, or health & nutrition
• Excellent leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor and support junior staff in a fast-paced environment
• Current First Aid & CPR (mandatory)
• Police Reference Check within the last 6 months (required prior to start date)

Benefits

• 35–37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday (5 days/week – mandatory)
• June 22, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (contract period)
• June 22 – June 26, 2026 (mandatory training)
