Job Description
The Power Engineer/Building Technician is responsible for operating the facility, performing structured inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and complying with internal and external requirements. The Technician also provides suggestions for enhancement and repair and assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
- Experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems
- Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment
- Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset
- Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) & HVAC Systems
- Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
- Mentoring skills required to support lower level technician’s development
