Job Description
Bird is looking for a Mechanical Superintendent to lead the construction site on an assigned project, executing field operations safely and consistently with Company objectives. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and strong leadership skills.
Requirements
- Initiates, coordinates, directs, and schedules site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
- Takes care of the scheduling and planning for the project.
- Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
- Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
- Implements and manages the Bird Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.
- Ensures sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Prepares overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Site Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Reviews and provides assistance regarding the required quality assurance and control plan.
- Monitors all site instructions and change notices and makes adjustments as required.
- Assist with commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.
