BKF is a multi-service infrastructure consulting firm providing civil engineering and surveying services across California, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. The company is looking for a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in civil engineering and a California Professional Engineering (P.E.) license to lead Transportation Infrastructure projects in the Northern California area.
Requirements
- Lead design and project management for transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, traffic studies, and rehabilitation initiatives
- Coordinate permitting, technical studies, and client communications to ensure smooth project execution
- Leverage internal talent and build a local network to support scalable project delivery
- Champion quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in transportation engineering
- Mentor junior staff and demonstrate leadership potential to grow a local team
- Promote BKF’s full range of services and actively cross-sell to regional clients
- Build visibility in the North Bay by cultivating strong relationships with clients and business partners
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
- 10 years of experience in transportation infrastructure, including design and project management of roadway, transit, or related civil projects
- Strong background in transportation design, including roadway geometry, traffic control, grading, and utility coordination
- Proven ability to lead planning studies, master plans, and infrastructure projects from concept through delivery and completion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with new and existing clients, internal teams, and stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in building client relationships and strategic positioning for project opportunities
- Entrepreneurial drive to pursue new transportation projects and establish a local presence, with the potential to grow and lead a small team
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to pursue and win transportation infrastructure projects
