Job Description
Black Box Network Services is looking for a Network Infrastructure Technician to work in a data center environment, with responsibilities including installing, testing, and certifying structured and patch panel cabling, as well as assisting in troubleshooting network equipment and cabling.
Requirements
- Working in a structured cabling environment
- Installing single and multi-mode optical cabling
- Inspecting and cleaning installed optical cabling
- Installing copper cable to IEEE and BICSI cabling standards
- Testing installed cables using a Fluke Versiv Mainframe
- Decommissioning obsolete networking cabling infrastructure
- Working with elevated and underfloor cabling trays
- Assisting in troubleshooting network equipment and cabling
