Mechanical Engineer - HVAC/Plumbing - Data Centers

Mechanical Engineer - HVAC/Plumbing - Data Centers job at Black & Veatch Corporation. Design and construction activities, including project delivery methods such as traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build. Participate in and lead engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Previous experience in Data Center/Mission Critical Design
• Experience with construction support
• Understanding of design differences in Hyper-scale, edge and collation data centers.
• Familiarity with Data Center tier rating systems
• Stronge knowledge in Autodesk Revit
• Data Center airflow CFD modeling experience for internal and external evaluations
• Computer generated HVAC cooling and heating loads and HVAC equipment sizing
• HVAC system energy modeling and energy code
• Green building initiatives such as LEED
• Technical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing process for large-scale water and air cooled chiller plants
• International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards
• NFPA Standards
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
