Staff Accountant

Blank Street is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their US Accounting function. This in-person role will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company, supporting teams across the field and HQ, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing company.

Requirements

• Support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, utilize accounting software to draft and finalize financial statements.
• Support day-to-day accounting operations including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and ensuring accuracy of payroll deductions and benefits.
• Support in the preparation of all tax filings.
