This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. We are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Requirements
- Own the test scope for one or more embedded controllers as the lead test engineer
- Plan, write, and execute test plans and procedures for development, risk reduction, qualification, and acceptance testing
- Support bench bring-up and early hardware characterization alongside the design team
- Define and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test strategies where applicable
- Support environmental test campaigns (thermal-vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC) including test planning, procedure execution, and anomaly resolution
- Drive verification closure: map test evidence to requirements, track open items, and ensure test reports meet qualification standards
- Identify, document, and track test anomalies through to resolution in coordination with the RE and broader team
- Contribute to test infrastructure development including test equipment selection, test bed design, and ground support equipment (GSE) needs
- Communicate test status, risks, and results clearly; support and lead technical reviews at appropriate milestones
- Apply lessons learned and best practices across the controller family to improve test efficiency and reuse
