Grounds Systems Fluids Systems Design Engineer

Blue Origin is seeking a Grounds Systems Fluids Systems Design Engineer to join their team. As a key contributor to the development of launch infrastructure for New Glenn, a reusable, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle, the successful candidate will design, analyze, and test critical fluid systems. The role requires a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, and experience with fluid and thermal analyses, as well as 3D CAD software and configuration management.

Requirements

• Design and develop fluid systems from initial concept and requirements through detailed design, analysis, and release.
• Perform detailed fluid and thermal analyses to validate system performance and inform design decisions.
• Create and release engineering artifacts, including system schematics, P&IDs, 3D models, component specifications, and test procedures.
• Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure successful system integration and functionality.
• Support the planning and execution of system-level tests, analyzing data to verify performance against requirements.
• Participate in and provide technical input for design reviews and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) to ensure system safety and reliability.
