We are seeking a skilled and motivated Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our company's dynamic team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and safety of medical equipment at the VA. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including preventive and corrective maintenance, incoming inspections, medical device security, equipment installations, electrical safety inspections, addressing hazard recalls, software repairs, and working with Cerner integration.
Requirements
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on a diverse range of medical equipment
- Conduct corrective maintenance by diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in medical devices
- Collaborate with the IT and cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain medical device security protocols
- Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment
- Conduct electrical safety inspections
- Monitor and address hazard and safety recalls
- Perform software repairs and updates
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Provide technical support and training to medical staff
