As a senior electrochemical engineer at BlueShift, you will lead the development and scaling of electrochemical technology for carbon capture and critical mineral extraction applications.
Requirements
- Lead the design, build, testing, validation, and optimization of flow electrochemical setups
- Characterize the cell performance using the appropriate combination of electrochemical and measurements and surface characterization approaches
- Model the electrochemical cell using a combination of first principles and hybrid modeling approaches
- Develop scaling rules and stack configurations for pilot and commercial scale units based on experimental data, modeling results, and technoeconomic assessments
- Collaborate externally with vendors, contractors, and design firms
- Mentor and train junior engineers; prepare technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders; collaborate internally with the team for continuous process improvement
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practices in electrochemistry, carbon capture, and mineral extraction for idea generation and continuous improvement
