Assistant to the Aquatics Director

The Boothbay Region YMCA is seeking an Assistant to the Aquatics Director. This role supports the organization's mission of improving the quality of life for all members through volunteer work, program development, and ensuring safety and maintaining a positive community environment. The position involves collaboration with the department director, leading staff and volunteers, and promoting YMCA programs.

Requirements

• Collaborates with the Department Director to promote healthy living and youth development.
• Collaborates with the Department Director in creating and leading staff in executing campaigns and curriculum.
• Promotes YMCA programs and services to existing and potential members.
• Assists the Department Director with staff recruitment, communication, development, and management.
• Monitors pool chemistry, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Lifeguarding and provides first aid as needed.
• Participates in administrative tasks including registration processing and program capacity optimization.
