Job Description
Boston Dynamics is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Atlas Compute and Sensing Mechanical Engineering team, designing mechanical parts and assemblies for the head of the robot, and running experiments to validate design improvements.
Requirements
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Plan and perform verification and validation testing on prototype and production systems
- Design and develop new and novel features for existing products
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause failure analysis and design/implement corrective actions to sustain existing products
- Design and release parts and assemblies using Catia CAD software
- Develop and maintain product support documentation including bills of material (BOMs) and detailed part/assembly drawings
- Support system design analyses, including reliability, DFM / DFA, cost-reduction

- Hourly pay range of $30-$45/hour
