Job Description
The Patient Care Tech – Clinic is imperative to increasing efficiency, productivity, as well as patient and team satisfaction. Performs uncomplicated tasks under direct supervision of a work area nurse, including but not limited to patient care; transporting patients within the facility; ordering medical supplies and medications; assisting nurses with scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and pre-visit planning.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS
- Courses in Medical Terminology (preferred)
- Nurse Aid training or non-certified graduate of medical assistant program (preferred)
- EMT, CNA, or health care related certifications (preferred)
- Experience working with protected health information and electronic health records (preferred)
- Two years of medical/clinical office experience (preferred)
