The Senior Tax Specialist is a key member of the Finance organization with responsibility for a broad range of direct and indirect tax matters. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The Senior Tax Specialist will prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations, manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings, and monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may impact tax positions or reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal/state income tax concepts
- Solid understanding of indirect tax concepts, including U.S. sales/use tax and Canadian GST/HST
- Strong accounting fundamentals and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Experience working with auditors and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
