Job Description
Breaking Ground is a non-profit organization that provides housing and services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Housing Specialist will work with clients, outreach teams, and partner agencies to prepare them for permanent housing and assist with the housing placement process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years' experience in a non-profit or real estate environment
- Knowledge of supportive housing and DHS housing programs
- Experience working with homeless/formerly homeless populations
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with HRA 2010e, AWARDS/Foothold, and CARES (preferred)
