Job Description
We are seeking a Housing Specialist to work with clients, outreach teams, and partner agencies to prepare clients for permanent housing. The Housing Specialist will assist in expediting the housing placement process, conduct mock interviews, groups, and escorts to appointments, and help complete and submit housing applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Two years’ experience in a non-profit or real estate environment
- Knowledge of supportive housing and DHS housing programs
- Previous experience working with homeless/formerly homeless populations
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with HRA 2010e, AWARDS /Foothold and CARES
