Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Brex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Task Workflows Platform team, responsible for building and scaling the foundational infrastructure that powers core experiences across Brex. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in full-stack product development, strong proficiency in backend programming languages, and experience in designing and optimizing scalable distributed systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack products
• Strong proficiency in backend programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Python)
• Experience architecting, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability distributed systems
• Experience designing and optimizing SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query performance tuning, and schema design
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
• Experience with modern frontend technologies and tools like ES6+, React, TypeScript, and Webpack
