Special Education Lead Teacher

Bridges is seeking a Special Education Lead Teacher for an elementary level non-categorical self-contained classroom for students with high level special needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing the classroom, developing and implementing discrete trial instruction, social skills instruction, and behavior plan implementation, and collaborating with related service providers and student parents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• Master's Degree in Elementary Education and/or Special Education (preferred)
• Certification in Special Education (preferred)
• Passed the Praxis SPED exams (preferred)
• 1 to 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience in an urban school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse student population
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Passion for public schools
• Adherence to high professional and ethical standards
