Job Description
The House Manager is a part-time, live-in role that oversees daily household operations, fosters community and accountability among residents, and promotes harm reduction and trauma-informed care. The role requires a consistent overnight residential presence and involves administering urinalysis screenings, providing crisis response, and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
Requirements
- State ORCHARDS CBSH background check clearance
- Ability to live onsite and maintain a consistent overnight residential presence
- Minimum 1 year of continuous sobriety
- Active participation in a verifiable program of recovery
- Ability to conduct directly observed urinalysis in a manner that upholds participant safety, dignity, privacy, and trauma-informed care
- Lived experience related to the population served
- Prior experience supporting individuals impacted by substance abuse and/or mental health within transitional housing settings
- Strong communication, trauma-informed engagement, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with crisis prevention, de-escalation, and intervention strategies in behavioral health or related settings
- Ability to remain calm, regulated, and exercise sound judgment in high-stress or crisis situations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated success working effectively in diverse, collaborative team environments
