Job Description
The Broad Institute seeks a Research Associate II to implement and improve pathogen-agnostic sequencing approaches, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and assist with data analysis and scientific review. The position is part of the Sabeti Lab's work as a CDC's Pathogen Genomics Center of Excellence and within NIH's Human Virome Program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- 2+ years of full-time professional laboratory experience
- Hands-on proficiency with Illumina NGS library preparation and sequencing
- Strong molecular biology foundation (nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR)
- Prior experience with laboratory automation and robotics a plus
- Established understanding of good safety practices and clean laboratory procedures
