Job Description
Brookfield Renewable is seeking an Accountant to join their Business Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining proper ledgers, registers, accounts, and journals, as well as collaborating with the Accounting team and supporting the Senior Accountant.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience performing full-cycle accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in relevant work experience
- CPA designation or scheduled to take the CFE within the next 12 months
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Financial Systems such as IFS, Blackline, IT2, OneStream or similar systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and US GAAP is an asset)
- Strong MS Excel skills (including vlookup and pivot tables)
