Job Description
Provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes, creating a positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement.
Requirements
- Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with lesson plans and YMCA guidelines
- Build effective relationships with students and parents, and encourage parental involvement
- Maintain accurate and timely program records
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor immediately
- Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings
- Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors, and adhere to mandated abuse reporting requirements
