Job Description
Builders FirstSource is seeking a Safety Coordinator I General Admin to coordinate and manage safety programs, develop and support a site-specific Safety Management Plan, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
- Develops and supports a site-specific Safety Management Plan (SMP)
- Ensures supervisors and other management perform thorough and complete accident investigations
- Works with Human Resources to develop and administer appropriate corrective action
- Coordinates safety initiatives such as management commitment and employee involvement
- Assembles and issues required Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) records
- Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to occupational and environmental health issues
- Compiles and provides input to hazardous material communications
- Oversees the application, monitoring and reporting related to the company's fleet management programs
