Director of Underwriting

At Builders Mutual, we are seeking a collaborative and results-oriented leader to join our expanding team as the Director of Underwriting. This hybrid role is based in Raleigh, NC and will lead strategic direction, drive profitable growth, and elevate underwriting excellence within the assigned business segment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, or related field
• 10+ years of work experience in commercial line underwriting or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience supervising/managing underwriters or leadership teams
• Proven track record of achieving book profitability, growth, and retention targets
