Edward Buncombe, a Revolutionary War hero. BCSO Deputy - Animal Control
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of NC BLET Course, Must be 21 years of age, Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergency and routine situations, Ability to apply interpretation of laws to specific situations
Detention Officer
High School diploma or equivalent, 20 years of age, valid driver’s license, and certified as a detention officer within a year
BCSO Deputy - SRO
High school diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age, law enforcement certification, and valid driver's license
Public Safety Communications Call Taker
High school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, ability to work a 12-hour shift
Public Safety Telecommunicator
High school diploma, one year of experience as a Public Safety call taker, dispatcher, or telecommunicator, and Telecommunicator Certification
