Maintenance Operative

Job Title: Maintenance Operative. Ensure that all health and safety and compliance checks are carried out using the provided digital systems. Maintain buildings and equipment effectively while complying with all relevant Bupa Standard Operating Procedures, legislation, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• A good understanding of building services including, heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing
• Sound understanding of building fabric and its maintenance
• Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping
• Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience of compliance
• A full driving licence
• A building/electrical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc) or a minimum of 3 years hand on experience in property maintenance and general repairs where possible
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Computer literate
• Good Customer service skills
• Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home
• Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating
