Accounting Manager

Burkland is seeking a dynamic and strategic Accounting Manager to support its startup clients. The role involves facilitating client meetings, reconciling accounts, and building robust accounting processes and systems. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting, a passion for helping venture-backed consumer startups succeed, and experience with cutting-edge technology and emerging industries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar field
• 3-5 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a startup environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Focus on quality of work and client relationships
• Tech stacks familiarity (Ramp, Stripe, bill.com, etc.)
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• 1099 and W9 support
• Producing financial reports
• Ability to review bookkeeper tasks
• Producing tax-ready end-of-year reports
