Job Description
BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join their team in Peterborough, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction for projects and acting as a technical interface point to internal and external customers. The role involves design, development, and test of mechanical equipment for automated and semi-automated fueling machines, medical isotope systems, robotic systems, and maintenance tooling for nuclear reactors and related systems.
Requirements
- B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Current PEO license
- 5 years' experience in design engineering in Nuclear, Aerospace, Transportation, or other highly regulated and process-based design
- 5 years' experience in design and development, with proven success in a technical leadership role
- Ability to work in a team and lead engineering projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
