Quality Technician

BWX Technologies, Inc. is a U.S.-based company that provides safe and effective nuclear solutions for global security, clean energy, environmental restoration, nuclear medicine, and space exploration. The company is looking for a Quality Technician to support engineering with development and testing activities, assist in developing manufacturing plans and inspection procedures, and provide quality control support and oversight for engineering, development, and testing activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate degree in a technical field plus eight (8) years of experience or a high school diploma / equivalent plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
• A minimum of four (4) years quality experience in a nuclear, defense, or aerospace industry
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with inspection for product development, prototyping, and/or First-of-a-Kind applications
• Experience with independent planning and performance of dimensional inspections
• Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings, including understanding and implementation of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspection
• Detailed knowledge and experience with inspection tools, systems, and techniques
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a collaborative team environment with minimal procedural guidance and supervision
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in generating technical reports and presentations using MS Office Applications
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required
