Assembles machined and bought parts, installs flight simulator individual assemblies, assists with trainer preparation and modification, and supports relocation of commercial or military training devices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Airframe's portion of the FAA A&P license preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 + years' experience in aircraft structural repair or flight simulator assembly
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to figure percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Must have a good knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical hand tools and be able to effectively use them
- Must have a sound understanding of military and commercial workmanship standards
