The Manager, Maintenance Department I is responsible for improving and performing equipment assets, controlling maintenance labor and material costs, and optimizing maintenance excellence strategies. This position requires a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 4+ years of plant maintenance and supervisory experience.
Requirements
- Requires B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate others
- Familiar with maintenance management and maintenance excellence techniques such as Preventive Maintenance (PM)/Predictive Maintenance (PDM)
- Requires computer operation skills, preferably MS Word and Excel, as well as in depth knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Requires knowledge of local state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to maintenance as well as OSHA safety standards
- Requires knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems
- Requires knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles and experience in working towards Lean production while driving continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the Company’s vision
- Demonstrated ability to identify potential issues and resolve complex problems, often involving large groups of people; can research difficult maintenance issues and determines effective courses of action
- Demonstrated ability to develop tactical plans to close key resource gaps in the maintenance team skill sets
