Job Description
The California Independent System Operator (ISO) is seeking a Regional Transmission Engineer to work on complex engineering assignments and provide power systems expertise in support of transmission system planning policies and decisions. The successful candidate will participate in WECC planning studies, collaborate with other staff, and work in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Two or more years of directly related experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience with power system planning or operation, familiarity with California Electric System or other portions of the WECC system
- Ability to run power flow programs, practical knowledge of PC hardware and software, and general aptitude for computer programming languages like Python
- Good analytical, verbal and written communication and documentation skills
