We are looking for a temporary post office assistant available to work on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate should reside in the community in question.
Requirements
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and the public
- Sort, distribute and handle mail correctly
- Provide clients with information and forms
- Handle delivery and service issues to resolve problems quickly and completely
Benefits
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent provincial certification, or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience related to interacting with the public in retail sales and/or service, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of ordinary accounting systems or post office operations
- Sufficient physical form to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for long periods
- Flexibility to be available for temporary tasks as needed
