Medical Laboratory Technologist

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their dynamic Testing team. The role involves performing routine testing, managing blood and blood component inventory, and preparing reagents and equipment for daily use. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology training program
• Certification by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
• Minimum one year experience in a Transfusion Medicine and Molecular related laboratory
• General knowledge of hospital and laboratory policies and procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships
• Competency in Laboratory software, computers, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
