Job Description
The Counsellor (lifespan) position provides evidence-based client-centered approaches to individuals with mental health issues across the lifespan. The Mental Health Counsellor will work as a member of a team, participate in clinical supervision, and ensure high standards of quality client care.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required (Master's degree preferred)
- Registered member in good standing with a College regulated to perform the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy in Ontario
- Documented evidence of formal psychotherapy training (e.g., CBT, DBT, RET, Narrative, Trauma)
- Experience working in a community-based or outpatient mental health setting
- Membership in a College or Association which governs the health profession
- Knowledge of mental health/mental illness, and mental health difficulties
