Family Physician (BH-445)

Family Medicine Physicians are sought to join a network of physicians as part of a Family Health Team in southwestern Ontario. The team offers a variety of services and programs to meet the needs of the community. The opportunity focuses on supporting better health for all in the communities served.

Requirements

• Independent Practice Certificate of Registration from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• US-trained specialists are exempt from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons eligibility requirements (US Board Certified Physicians are eligible for an independent license in Ontario) through Pathway A.
• Medical liability insurance from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or equivalent required, appropriate to the category of practice
• Team player willing to participate in after-hours service as required
• Demonstrated commitment to and passion for primary health care in the community
• Excellent clinical skills and able to manage several complex health issues in a timely manner
• Excellent communication, problem solving, decision making and time management skills
• Respected team player who supports collaborations across the multidisciplinary team
