Analyst (Ontario & NYISO)

Capital Power is hiring an Analyst to support the management of commodity exposure and commercial performance of the Ontario generation fleet. The role provides analytical, operational, and commercial support across dispatch optimization, fuel procurement, speculation, and contract management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel; experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools is an asset.
• Interest in power and gas markets, asset optimization, and commodity trading.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
