Job Description
The DPS - CID - CRRP DPS Special Agent position involves responsible investigative duties in a designated geographic area of Texas, managing and overseeing investigative efforts, and utilizing various methods to identify and combat criminal violations. The role requires considerable knowledge of investigative methods, practices, and laws, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
Requirements
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent
- Retired commissioned officer who has retired from the Employees Retirement System of Texas and whose last position was as a commissioned officer within the department and attained the rank of Sergeant or higher with the Criminal Investigations Division
- Valid Texas driver license and an Intermediate Certificate issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE)
